Holy Great Martyr Demetrios the Myrrh-streamer Oct. 26/Nov.8 St. Demertrios was from Thessalonica and a devout Christian. The Emperor, Maxiimian raised him to the rank of Duke of Thessaly. But when the emperor learned that Demetrios was a Christian he had him imprisoned in a bathhouse and killed.
