St. Innocent of Alaska - March 31/April 13 St. Innocent called the ?St. Paul of America? because of his missionary efforts. He came to Alaska in 1824 with his family, compiled an Aleutian alphabet and translated the Divine Liturgy. He opened a school for boys, was an inventor and tended to the physical ills of the natives. Later became Metr. of Moscow in 1868.
