Micah was from the tribe of Judah. He was a contemporary of the prophets Isaiah, Amos and Hosea. He rebuked the people for their vices and the false prophets for their drinking. His most important prophecy was that Bethlehem would be the place of the birth of the Messiah. It is not known whether he was slain or died in peace. During the reign of the Emperor Theodosius the Great, the bishop Zevin receive a vision that lead to the finding of the relics of the Prophet.
